Opposition parties attempt to incite political violence in Bishalgarh: Nabendu Bhattacharjee

By TC News Desk

Agartala, November 03: Pradesh BJP spokesperson Nabendu Bhattacharjee on Thursday squarely castigated the mischievous role of Congress and CPIM for disturbing the peaceful, law and order situation across the state.

Speaking to the reporters here at BJP state headquarters on Thursday evening, Bhattacharjee said that the opposition parties had been constituting attack on the ruling party workers for a long time.

“At Uttar Routhkhala area, a Yuva Morcha karyakarta sustained grievous injuries as the Congress workers attacked a group of karyakartas who were less in number. The Congress workers hurled bombs and there is nothing to hide. Later, once again, BJP karyakartas were attacked. Those who attacked from Congress Bhavan here in the capital city earlier, some were identified at Routhkhala area yesterday. Locals also alleged that many unknown faces were found in yesterday’s incident who aren’t the residents of Tripura. Today also, bombs were seized from the possession of Congress workers. Currently, opposition parties are making attempts to incite political violence in Bishalgarh”, he added.

Replying on the allegation raised by the leader of opposition Manik Sarkar on deteriorating law and order situation across the state, Bhattacharjee said that the police are being given the free hand to initiate action whosoever is found guilty and involved in crime irrespective of political colour. “The leader of opposition has no right to raise questions on law and order. Wherever Communists are there, they are following their own ideologies. People is supporting BJP due to its good governance. CPIM has no existence among people. Sarkar should be ashamed of talking about law and order situation. During their regime, police are restricted to take action. Sadar SDM and minister were killed, police could not take action. They should be ashamed of all these.”
