Agartala, 18th March 2024 : Over 13 lakh eligible electors will cast their vote in 1654 polling stations that was set up in East Tripura (ST) Parliamentary Constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
The election for East Tripura (ST Reserved) will be held on April 26 this year. According to a report, said that that the parliamentary constituency have 30 Assembly Constituency across 6 districts including all assembly constituencies of Dhalai, North, Unakoti , Khowai and 4 ACs of South Tripura and 3 ACs of Gomati.
“The total number of voters are 13,95,089 including 7,01,708 male, 6,93,365 female, 16 are transgender, service voters are 4349. They will cast vote in 1654 polling stations”, said the official.
He said that all the polling station will have assured minimum facilities like Drinking Water, electricity, toilets , ramp, wheel chair, all polling stations will be under CCTV surveillance. “For all kinds of MCC violation and other complaints action to be taken within 100 minutes, anonymous complaint , 24×7 district level control room is setup with flying squads on the ground”, said the official.
