Agartala, September 09, 2023: Two individuals named Liton Das (35) and Liza Akhter (22) have sustained serious injuries after a collision with a black Thar car on Bishalgarh Bypass. The victims are currently receiving medical treatment at GB Hospital, sparking renewed fears among Bishalgarh residents regarding the involvement of black Thar vehicles in criminal activities within the area.
The incident took place on Saturday morning when a black Thar, bearing the registration number TR01BX-0333, was observed traveling at high speed along Bishalgarh Bypass. The vehicle collided forcefully with an auto-rickshaw, causing it to overturn. The collision left Liton Das and Liza Akhter with severe injuries.
Local residents, alerted by the loud crash, rushed to the scene, and valiantly rescued the injured victims before promptly transporting them to Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital for initial medical attention.
Preliminary reports suggest that the black Thar car was allegedly speeding, leading to the unfortunate accident. Concerns regarding black Thar vehicles in Bishalgarh have been mounting due to reported associations with criminal activities, including robberies, at various locations within the town.
Subsequently, both injured individuals were transferred to GB Hospital following initial treatment at Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital under the supervision of attending medical professionals. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident and the potential role of speeding in the incident.
