BY TC News Desk

Agartala, April 23. As soon as the sun sets, mad forces are becoming active across the capital city while the police administration and its personnel is alleged to be in deep slumber at their respective police stations.

Although, there are eight police stations and several police outposts, but there is no checking at the naka points, no police at the squares and junctions         , no police patrolling, etc. A section of intoxicated and addicted youths start racing in the capital city in their luxury cars, motorcycles and scootys.

The police administration is playing a completely passive role in stopping and initiating strict action against them. As a result, the number of accidents in the capital city is increasing every evening and pedestrians often sustain serious injuries. But the police administration of the district and headquarter is not at all aware of this.

It is reported that a speeding car had badly hit three people at Colonel Chowmuhani area on the night of Saturday last. Among them, one delivery boy was seriously injured. The delivery boy is Ranjit Ghosh, resident of Sukantapalli area at Amtali. Currently, he is undergoing treatment at GBP Hospital. Pabitra Chakraborty, a resident of Colonel Choumuhani, is under treatment in GBP as his injuries are serious. The rest were discharged after first aid.

After the accident, the over-speed vehicle managed to escape. The police went to the spot and recovered the scooty damaged in the accident and took it into their custody.

According to the police, the CCTV footage is being examined. The vehicle is being identified. A total of 5 people were injured in the accident. According to the injured, this accident happened due to high speed. However, if the police administration does not take the initiative to play an active role, then the city residents feel that they will not be able to avoid responsibility for such incidents.
