Agartala, 12th December 2024: In a significant anti-drug operation, Tripura Police in Madhupur have once again demonstrated their commitment to combating the narcotics trade. Acting on a tip-off, the police raided a house in the Konaban Essi Colony area, where they recovered dried marijuana valued at over three lakh taka.
Madhupur police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Debajit Chatterjee confirmed that a large quantity of narcotics was being stored at the location. Following the information, a raid was swiftly organized, leading to the recovery of the illicit substance.
Although the name of the house owner involved in the drug smuggling operation has not been disclosed as the investigation is ongoing, police sources indicated that the suspect will be arrested soon. Authorities have filed a case against the individual under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
