Agartala, 4th July 2025: A new initiative titled ‘Positive Barta’ platform has been launched with a mission to transform the public mindset from negativity to optimism, promote social and environmental responsibility, and empower women across the country.
Speaking about the initiative, a spokesperson for the platform said, “Many development schemes are implemented by the government, but not everyone benefits. One major reason is the prevailing negative mindset. Our goal is to counter this by spreading positivity through news and information.”
The platform is currently active through social media, mobile applications, cable networks, and weekly newspapers, with plans to expand globally via satellite channels in the near future. “We want to showcase India’s culture, heritage, and traditions to the world. Language should not be a barrier, and we are exploring how artificial intelligence can help bridge that gap,” the spokesperson added.
The initiative is also making major strides in women empowerment. Hundreds of women are already being trained through online modules in digital entrepreneurship. “We are teaching women how to do business, reach customers, and sell their products through digital platforms. We’re proud that many have already started their own ventures,” the representative said.
To link economic empowerment with environmental action, the platform has announced a major tree plantation drive. “On World Environment Day, we decided to plant 1 crore trees within a year through clusters of women entrepreneurs. These will be eco-friendly trees, and the women involved will benefit from the fruits and wood,” the spokesperson stated.
In another unique initiative, the platform is working to preserve the identity of tribal communities. “We found that tribal societies lack religious scriptures in their own languages. This leads to confusion, especially among the youth. So, with the help of tribal religious leaders, we are preparing to publish a scripture in their native language to preserve their traditions and beliefs.”
The Positive Barta Platform aims to be more than just a media outlet—it seeks to be a catalyst for inclusive development, empowerment, and unity.
