Agartala, May 27, 2023: Even after two and a half months, post-election terrorism continues in the city. The alleged ruling party sponsored miscreants attacked a house in the dark of Friday night.
The incident took place in the area adjacent to Bholagiri Ashram in the capital city. It is learned that the miscreants attacked the house of Zainal Abedin, a resident of the area. A e-battery rickshaw was vandalized.
The people of the house were beaten. Zainal Abedin’s wife said her son and daughter-in-law were standing in front of the house and talking. At that time, a group of miscreants came with in bikes and attacked them suddenly.
She also said that the miscreants were the supporters of BJP and they are the residents of Gurkhabasti area. Zainal Abedin’s wife said in a tone of regret that she had given her house in rent to the BJP. A party office was held during the house elections. BJP office was in their house for 6 months. Now her family has been attacked. They were threatened.
The people of the house also said that a case will be filed with the police station. There is excitement in the area around the incident.
