Agartala, 15th  March 2026:   Residents of Ranirbazar Bhumiheen Colony in Paschim Noagaon are facing severe hardship due to foul odor and swarms of flies emanating from a local poultry farm.

Locals allege that the unbearable stench has made daily life nearly impossible, with complaints repeatedly lodged to the Food Department and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM). Despite these appeals, no effective action has yet been taken, and the situation continues to worsen.

Community members further claim that local MLA Ratan Chakraborty is aware of the issue but has not intervened, fueling frustration among residents.

The colony’s inhabitants are now demanding the immediate closure of the farm to ensure a permanent solution. They have warned that failure to act will force them to launch a strong protest movement.
