Agartala: Feb 19. Slamming the opposition CPIM and Congress for triggering an unrest across the state, BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee claimed that the saffron party is also ready to retaliate it with the help of police.

Speaking to media persons on Sunday evening, BJP state President Rajib Bhattacharjee said that the historical election without any violence and rigging for 60 assembly constituencies concluded on February 16 last.

“Although, the election was held peacefully. But it was very unfortunate that even after conclusion of election peacefully, Congress and CPIM have unleashed a series of political violence. We are keeping close eye on it. Across the state starting from Kumarghat, NC Nagar, Kakraban, Agartala, Khowai, Mandwi, Simna they are working to create unrest. We want to tell that BJP is ready to retaliate it”, said Bhattacharjee.

He said, “We know law and order is prevailing in the state. But we don’t want this kind of violence and want to help police and don’t want to take law on our hand”.

“Making terror as a tool, CPIM ruled the state for the past 25 years. Since 1993 till 2013 this CPIM captured booth, rigged election and killed many people. This is not my talk but published in newspapers which proved how they curtailed the democracy. Congress should have feel shame that in last 25 years they chanted slogan against CPIM and now both the party came together and tried to launch series of attacks on us”, Bhattacharjee told reporters.

“I want to appeal the party workers not to fall in the trap of CPIM and Congress. If they want to create unrest then also BJP is ready and would knock the door of police”, he also added.
