Pradesh BJP suspends Barjala Mandal President Rajib Saha following arrest

Agartala, 25th January 2026:   The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Tripura Pradesh, has suspended Rajib Saha, President of the 4-Barjala Mandal Committee, with immediate effect following his arrest in connection with alleged criminal activities.

According to an official order issued by the Tripura State Executive Committee of BJP, the suspension was directed by the State President Rajib Bhattacharjee, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha). The order cites Saha’s arrest by police on January 24, 2026, and states that his alleged involvement in criminal activities prompted the disciplinary action.

The suspension order, signed by Amit Rakshit, General Secretary of BJP Tripura Pradesh, has been circulated to key party officials including the State President, District President of Sadar (Rural) District, and the State Media In-charge.

The BJP office, located at Krishnanagar Main Road, Agartala, confirmed the development and emphasized the party’s commitment to maintaining discipline and integrity within its ranks.
