Agartala, 3rd March 2025: The Pradesh Mahila Congress has announced a special program on March 8 focusing on women’s empowerment and addressing atrocities against women. AICC in-charge for Tripura, Saptagiri Sankar Ulaka will be present at the event. Pradesh Mahila Congress President Sarbari Ghosh Chakraborty today urged all members to attend in the program.
In preparation for the event, related programs have already started across various blocks and districts in the state. The program will emphasize on 11-point charter of demands, which was formally presented on January 23 through a public statement. Key demands include 33% reservation for women, improvements in mid-day meal services, and salary hikes for ASHA workers and other support staff.
Additionally, a grand public gathering is scheduled for March 11, where people from all sections in Tripura are invited to participate. The Pradesh Mahila Congress aims to use these programs to raise awareness and push for policy reforms that enhance women’s welfare and working conditions.
