Agartala, 6th September 2025: The 2nd edition of the Maharaja Kirit Bikram Manikya Scholarship Programme (MKBMSP) has been officially announced, aimed at supporting civil service aspirants from Tripura. Named in honor of Maharaja Kirit Bikram Manikya, father of Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma, the scholarship seeks to empower talented young candidates preparing for UPSC and TPSC examinations.
Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship, which offers full fees for a 12-month course at Oriental IAS Academy, Agartala, for those selected.

Speaking about the initiative, Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma, founder of the Tipra Motha Party and royal scion, said, “I firmly believe that to transform Tripura, we need dedicated and capable young officers. This scholarship could be your opportunity to achieve that goal.”
The programme reflects a sustained effort to encourage and empower Tripura’s youth to pursue careers in public service, fostering a new generation of committed and skilled civil servants.
