Agartala, May 06, 2023: The royal scion and TIPRA Motha chairman Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarman on Saturday purchased fare of flight tickets on his own pocket to bring back 50 ‘Tiprasa’ students from violence-affected Manipur. These students will return to Tripura on Sunday.

In a voice message, TIPRA Motha chief Pradyot informed “Many Tiprasas are stuck due to the on-going problems in Manipur. Many called me to inform that they are fearing to stay over there and expressed their desire to return back to their homeland. I have purchased the flight fare of 50 Tiprasa students and they will return to Tripura on Sunday next.”

“During the bad times, thoughts shouldn’t be of politics. During my bad times, Tiprasa people stood by my side and supported me a lot. Hence, it is my first and foremost duty to help those Tiprasa students who are stuck in Manipur during this violence period”, he added.

Debbarman said “The flight fare of these 50 Tiprasa students are completely borne by me. In the coming days, if there are problems faced by my people, I will extend my support. It is my duty as I love my people. I will always stand by my people. If any people find problematic to stay outside his or her native land, then contact with us, we will bring you back. It is not from the end of the government, I am completely doing it on my own.”

The royal scion also said “I love my people, I love my community and I will always be there to help my people.”
