Agartala: July 17. The Royal Scion of Tripura and former Chairman of TIPRA Motha Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma on Monday said that if the demand of the party not met immediately then the party would stage a massive ‘peaceful agitation’ which Tripura may not have seen before.

Addressing a press conference this afternoon, Pradyot said, “In our plenary session we have passed many resolutions and among them we have decided not to compromise with our core ideology demand which is Greater Tipraland. We have held a talk with Government India, they might have some position but we will not change our position. Our second resolution is the budget for Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) in this financial year is 2% and so we have decided to keep our pressure on the state government for depriving us. Corruption is also an issue against which we are fighting. We have also decided for restructure the party starting from grass root level. I have also pledged that in each and every district there will one party office for Tipra Motha and the cost will be bear by me. In the session I have also decided not break the unity as there are conspiracy against us to break the unity”, said Pradoyot.

He also clarify that he is not going to leave the party.“Manik Sarkar is not in any position of CPIM but did he left the politics, did Rahul Gandhi left politics? I left chairman post and till my last breath I am a Tipra Motha warrior and will continue to fight for my party and for my community.  As per the ECI norms you can’t have a chairman post if you have a president and I have served 2 years and have been not well. But I will be with the party. I want to go to reach out my workers, want to build party from grass root and this party has to go to the people”, he said.

He further informed that if BJP don’t want to come with Tipra Motha then there are many other parties and all options are open.

“If our demands are not met then we are going for a peaceful massive agitation which Tripura may not have seen before. This agitation is for our rights and for our demands. We have already prepared it but we will announce it later and if we announce it today then we will not get necessary permission”, said Pradyot.
