Agartala, May 02, 2023: Union minister of state Pratima Bhoumik, who is the elected representative from West Tripura parliamentary constituency on Tuesday chaired a review meeting of ‘Disha’ at the conference hall of Circuit House in South Tripura district.
Apart from the officers, there were MLAs, District Minister Shuklacharan Noatia, Panchayat Samiti, Municipal and Nagar Panchayat Chairman and Zilla Parishad Sabhadipati and Saha-Sabhadipati.
After the Disha meeting, West Tripura Lok Sabha Constituency MP and Union Minister of State Pratima Bhowmik said how effective the Prime Minister’s flagship programs have been reviewed in today’s meeting.
In particular, Jal Jeevan Mission, Swachh Bharat Toilets, Education, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Sadak Yojana, Social Education and the work of the minister’s own office are being reviewed.
She said that the discussion has been constructive. Special attention has been given to water, electricity and roads in today’s meeting. She also said that a deadline has been fixed for the completion of all the works that are currently underway. The Belonia-Bangladesh rail link, Muhurichar issue and a border haat at Rajnagar were also discussed.
After a detailed discussion on how the overall development of this southern district is done, the work of the next three months has been given and she has directed to finish the work on time.
Along with that, she highlighted the goals of the central and state governments. She said that such works will be reviewed again after the next three months.
