Agartala, August 11: Union minister of state Pratima Bhoumik on Friday met the Union Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnav and discussed several issues related to the railway service from Tripura to other states. She requested the Railway Minister to start more trains for the convenience of the devotees and the businessmen of the state.
Bhoumik said that she had visited the Satsang Vihara of Sri Sri Thakur Anukul Chandra, in Deoghar a few days back and met Sri Sri Babai Dada, who asked her to arrange another train from Tripura to Deoghar. She said that the one train that currently operates in the state to Deoghar is weekly, so if a devotee goes to Deoghar, he has to wait at least seven days to return.
“Keeping that in mind today I put this proposal to the Union Minister of Railways Shri Ashwini Vaishnab Ji and he agreed that one more train to Deoghar will be started in the state very soon,” she said.
She also said that many devotees from the state visit Sri Lanka Bihari Dham Vrindavan and Jagannath Dham Puri and requested the Railway Minister to start at least one weekly train for their convenience.
“Also as there is no dedicated train running from Agartala to Guwahati yet, I request the Railway Minister to run a train on this route. The Union Railway Minister immediately directed officials to make quick arrangements to run a demo train on Agartala and Guwahati routes. This will benefit the businessmen of the state, increase the number of tourists in the state and also benefit the students from the state who travel to Guwahati for various exams,” she added.
She thanked Ashwini Vaishnaw for taking so many steps in the interest of the people of the state with his positive attitude.
