Pratima Bhowmik attends Bharat Sankalp Yatra & PGS 2.0 program at Mandwai RD Block

Agartala, November 22: Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhoumik participated in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and the second phase of the state government’s Prati Ghore Sushasan Program on Tuesday at Mandai Rd Block in West Tripura District. The program was aimed at delivering various central schemes and projects to the doorsteps of the people, especially the poor and the marginalized.

Bhoumik said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been working tirelessly for the welfare of the people and the state in the last nine years. She said that people do not have to rush to the SDM office to get SC certificate, ST certificate and other benefits, as they are getting these facilities close to home. She urged everyone to come forward to make the Prime Minister’s dream of building a developed India come true.

The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, which was launched to spread awareness about the central government’s initiatives, also reached Shivnagar and South Shivnagar ADC Village areas, where administrative camps were organized at Binankobra Para and Deenbandhu Nagar Village Committee Office Premises. The locals showed a special enthusiasm to enroll for Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance Card, PM Ujjwala gas connection, bank accounts and Aadhaar linking. Government representatives of various departments and local bank officials were present in the camps to guide the villagers.

The state health department also organized health camps in two villages, where the villagers were screened for various diseases free of cost. A total of 43 villagers underwent health check-up, 45 applied for Ayushman Bharat health insurance card, 14 people applied for LPG gas connection, 20 people applied for taking advantage of various schemes and 11 submitted documents for KYC of banks.

The mobile awareness campaign vehicle titled “Hamara Sankalp Mawakan Bharat” showcased the plans and programs of the developed India through an exhibition van. The van visited Kochar Village Committee Premises and later Mandai, where various programs were held under the initiative of the block office. The exhibition van also displayed information about various central government schemes and projects.
