Agartala, 14th November 2023: In a demonstration of solidarity and compassion, a prominent social organization in the state answered the call for help from Manipur, dispatching relief materials via CRPF vehicles.
The event, graced by the presence of Union Minister of State Pratima Bhowmik, unfolded in front of the Agartala Press Club on Tuesday.
Under a sea of green flags, CRPF vehicles were loaded with essential relief items bound for Manipur, showcasing a united front in the face of adversity.
During a function organized at the Agartala Press Club, Union Minister of State Pratima Bhowmik lauded the collective effort, emphasizing the power of determination in overcoming challenges. She commended the social organizations for their unwavering support, noting their previous assistance during the recent floods in Assam. Bhowmik highlighted the geographical proximity of Tripura to both Assam and Manipur, underlining the interconnectedness of the northeastern states.
Entrepreneurs present at the event emphasized the significance of Tripura’s proximity to Manipur, reinforcing the notion of regional cooperation in times of need.
Speaking passionately, the Union State Minister drew parallels between the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the ideals of Swami Vivekananda. Bhowmik stated that the Prime Minister, inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s principles, is propelling the nation towards progress. Quoting the Prime Minister, she asserted, “Development stems from clear intentions,” and commended Modi for translating these intentions into concrete actions.
As the relief materials set off on their journey to Manipur, the event served as a testament to the unity and humanitarian spirit that binds the northeastern states in times of crisis.
