Pratima inaugurates 8 projects in Bishalgarh, says govt working to strengthen village economy

Agartala: July 15. Union Minister of state Pratima Bhoumik today said that the central government has given priority to developing rural areas economically and the aim of the government is to develop the infrastructure and socio-economic standards of every village in the country.

Bhoumik said this while inaugurating various newly constructed projects in East Gakulnagar Adarsh village under Bishalgarh block today.

Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister said the central government has taken various programs to strengthen the foundation of the country’s economy through proper implementation of Gram Swaraj.

“By 2023, one Amrit Sarovar will be constructed in each village. With the help of the central government, drinking water connection is reaching every village. Electricity is reaching in the villages under the Saubhagya project. Emphasis has been placed on women’s empowerment through the formation of self-reliant groups”, she said.

It may be mentioned that the Union Minister of State for Social Justice inaugurated 8 projects in East Gakulnagar Gram Panchayat today. Among the projects is a Park, a new Anganwari center built at a cost of Rs 2.15 crore, one mid day meal dining hall in Gakulnagar SB School, Market Stall, Cattle Farm and Vermicompost Fertilizer Center.
