Agartala, 4th August 2025: In preparation for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations, a coordination meeting was held today at the conference hall of the Information and Cultural Affairs (ICA) Department with representatives from various media houses.
The focus of the meeting was to ensure smooth and uninterrupted media coverage of the main event scheduled to take place at the Assam Rifles Maidan.
Director of the ICA Department, Bimbisar Bhattacharya, initiated the discussion by outlining the arrangements for media personnel. He informed that, like previous years, special passes will be issued to photojournalists and videojournalists from accredited media organizations.
To facilitate this, media houses have been requested to submit the names and two passport-sized photographs of their nominated visual journalists to the department by August 10. Bhattacharya also requested the attending police officials to ensure issuance of the necessary passes by August 12 to avoid any last-minute inconvenience.
Deputy Director Rajat Kanti Das, along with a number of photojournalists and videojournalists, actively participated in the meeting and shared their inputs on logistical requirements and coordination.
The ICA Department assured full cooperation to the media to ensure seamless coverage of the Independence Day celebrations.
