Santirbazar: Mar 15. Responding to a long-pending demand of local residents, the Public Works Department has initiated steps toward constructing a new road in Kanchannagar under the Shantirbazar Assembly constituency. On Sunday, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Prabir Baran Das of the Shantirbazar PWD visited Booth No. 36 near Mansa Bari to inspect the proposed site.
Accompanied by a delegation, the SDO interacted with local residents and reviewed the feasibility of the project. Block Development Committee member and Mandal President Debashis Bhowmik, along with community members and local representatives, were present during the inspection.
For years, residents of the area have been pressing for improved road connectivity. Locals expressed optimism that the administration’s initiative will finally fulfill their long-standing demand and significantly enhance communication facilities in the region.
