Agartala, 8th November 2025: In a move that has stunned locals and traders alike, Radhe Shyam Bhandar, a well-known shop in Ambassa reopened just six hours after being sealed by the sub-divisional administration for allegedly selling expired products.

According to officials, a team from the administration conducted a market inspection yesterday morning and discovered a large stock of expired goods at the store. The shop was immediately sealed following the raid. However, by late afternoon, shutters were up again and business resumed as usual, leaving residents bewildered.

The swift reopening has triggered widespread criticism of the administration’s role in the matter. Locals allege that the shop’s rapid return to business was made possible by the influence of powerful individuals. Some even sarcastically attributed the turnaround to the “magic of money.”

Members of the local business community also voiced their frustration, warning that such incidents erode public trust in regulatory authorities. As of now, the sub-divisional administration has not issued any official statement regarding the reopening.

Residents are demanding a thorough investigation and strict action against those responsible, emphasizing that such “magical” circumventions of the law must not be allowed to set a precedent.
