Agartala, 9th October 2024:   In a joint operation today, the Food department, Meterology department and Sadar sub-divisional administration conducted a raid on Pizza Hut following a complaint from a school student. The raid, which took place during the Sharadiya festival celebrations, revealed several irregularities in the restaurant’s operations.

The raid was carried out under the directives of the Director of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs and the Sadar sub-divisional Magistrate. Officials discovered that the employees were serving unhealthy food, and the electronic weighing machine used in the restaurant was unverified. This raised concerns about the accuracy of the pricing, as the weight and size of the pizzas were not properly measured.

A notice has been issued against the shop owner due to these irregularities. The Food Department and Sadar sub-divisional administration are taking necessary actions to address the violations and ensure food safety standards are upheld.
