Agartala, 11th April 2024:   BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee launched scathing criticism against the alliance between the CPIM and the Indian National Congress, labeling it as an ominous union destined for failure. The rally was organized in support of BJP candidate Maharani Kriti Singh Debbarman contesting for the East Tripura Lok Sabha seat.

Addressing the crowd at Golabari Rice Mail Maidan under Krishnapur mandal, Bhattacharjee reminisced about the decades-long reign of the CPIM in Tripura, asserting that their rule of 25 years was marred by false promises and neglect of the impoverished masses. He accused the Left of hypocritically advocating for the welfare of the poor while failing to initiate meaningful projects for their upliftment. Instead, Bhattacharya alleged, the CPIM’s policies only exacerbated the plight of the underprivileged.

Turning the spotlight onto the BJP’s governance, BJP state president touted the numerous initiatives undertaken by the party to improve the lives of Tripura’s residents. He highlighted the success of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, under which nearly 10 lakh people in the state have been provided with housing over the course of six years.

Asserting the credibility of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a guarantor of prosperity, Bhattacharjee contrasted the BJP’s approach with the perceived indifference of the CPIM and Congress towards the needs of the state’s populace. He emphasized the BJP’s recognition of both the general populace and the royal family, contrasting it with what he described as the CPIM’s historical disregard for the monarchy.

In a rallying cry to the electorate, Bhattacharjee urged voters to rally behind the BJP’s nominated candidates, expressing confidence in their ability to secure resounding victories in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
