Agartala, August 23, 2023: In a fervent bid to secure victory in the upcoming by-elections for the Boxanagar assembly constituency, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched an intensive campaign. This campaign, led by state leaders, unfolded prominently in the assembly constituencies of Boxanagar and Dhanpur.
On Thursday, the BJP organized a compelling public relations event at South Kalamchoura New Colony, within Booth No. 26 of the Boxanagar Mandal. Key figures gracing this event included State BJP President Rajib Bhattacharjee, Boxanagar constituency nominee Tofajjal Hossain, Mandal General Secretary Biswajit Debnath, District Mahila Morcha President Kalyani Debnath, District BJP General Secretary Subhrajit Das, and numerous party leaders.
Notably, Dipak Sarkar, the booth president of Booth No. 26, engaged in vigorous public relations alongside State President Rajib Bhattacharjee. As the campaign reached its zenith, an joining programme transpired at the residence of an ardent party activist. During this gathering, an impressive 49 voters from 15 families officially pledged their allegiance to the Bharatiya Janata Party, symbolized by the party flag.
Addressing the enthusiastic crowd following the public relations drive, Tofazzal Hossain expressed confidence, stating, “We have discerned from these interactions that the public approaches these by-elections with great enthusiasm. The Bharatiya Janata Party is poised to triumph for the sake of development. Meanwhile, the CPIM stands as an endangered species, its footing slipping away. After these by-elections, they will vanish from the state.”
State President Rajib Bhattacharjee echoed this optimism, asserting the certainty of victory for the BJP candidate in both by-election centers. The political landscape in Boxanagar and Dhanpur continues to heat up as election day approaches.
