Rajib slams INDI alliance, demands apology from Congress, CPI(M) for their misdeeds

Agartala, 7th April 2024:    BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharya didn’t mince words as he unleashed a scathing tirade against the Congress and CPI(M), calling for what he deemed as necessary atonement for their “unholy alliance” and urging them to apologize to the public.

In his fervent address, Bhattacharya lambasted the Congress, accusing them of harboring divisive motives aimed at rupturing the nation’s unity. He claimed that the Congress’s policies are fueled by this divisive agenda, prompting a significant exodus of leaders towards the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in search of more principled political grounds.

Bhattacharya didn’t shy away from delving into the internal workings of the Congress, alleging a lack of scrutiny of its members and a prioritization of personal interests over party allegiance. He cited instances of leaders defecting back and forth between parties, casting doubt on their reliability and integrity. Bhattacharya emphasized that such practices have contributed to the Congress’s electoral downfall, notably culminating in single-digit representation in the last assembly elections.

Turning his scrutiny towards the CPI(M), Bhattacharya singled out former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar for purportedly straying from his political principles by endorsing a Congress candidate. He deemed this move “unfortunate” and emblematic of the prevailing political climate.

Furthermore, Bhattacharya highlighted a decline in political violence since 2018, juxtaposing it with what he described as a dark era under Communist rule, during which several BJP workers, including Minister Bimal Sinha, MLA Parimal Saha, and MLA Madhusudan Saha, were allegedly murdered by what he termed as the “Communists’ murderous forces.”

Joined by Minister Pranajit Singh Roy, state BJP spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty, and other party members, Bhattacharya’s press conference underscored the BJP’s unwavering stance against the Congress and CPI(M), urging them to acknowledge their purported transgressions and seek redemption in the eyes of the public.
