Rajib slams LF for rise in CAW, Hails BJP’s efforts in restoring respect

BY TC News Desk

Agartala, 17th December 2023 :   State BJP president Rajib Bhattacharya criticized the former Left Front government today, attributing the rising trends in crime against women to their tenure.

He claimed that women in the state have started receiving due respect since the BJP formed the government.

Addressing a program, Bhattacharya stated, “The primary goal of the BJP is to provide 100 percent benefits to the people of the state. With this objective, our Central government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the State government, led by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, are working tirelessly. Our government is committed to the development of women, recognizing the importance of Matri Shakti in society. Our schemes are designed to make women self-sufficient.”

He said that when Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, he decided to open zero balance accounts in banks.

“He also took steps to help women financially. We are lucky to have a PM like Narendra Modi. He has taken the initiative to provide gas connections free of cost to women. Muslim women were deprived of everything in the name of triple talaq, which has now been scrapped. Our BJP government is working to give respect to women and bring them into the mainstream. It’s a very proud moment that a woman from Tripura is now a Minister of State. There is a 33% reservation kept in government jobs for women,” said Rajib.

He claimed that there was a time in Tripura when women were deprived of everything and faced many attacks. “There was a government for 25 years, and we have seen how women were subjected to torture. There were judgments on such incidents, and there was no respect for women. But now, only after the BJP came, women were given due respect, as we offer puja to Durga Maa. Now, women have slain this demon and formed the BJP government,” he added.
