Agartala: August 29. Former Chief Minister and MP Rajya Sabha Biplab Kumar Deb today said that since he assumed the charge of MP, he has sanctioned Rs 3.39 crore for 10 projects in the state.
Addressing a press conference today, Deb said since 2022 September when he becomes an MP for Rajya Sabha, he has sanctioned Rs 3.39 crore for 10 projects in the state.
“In parliament I have raised total 17 questions and in this one star question and rest un-star. I have also raised one private members bill on ‘Compulsory teaching of Lifestyles of Environment in Schools’. Many British laws is still implementing in the country and many of this we are not aware like piracy and etc on movies which is creating many problems and have discussed of repealing bill. I have also spoken about the new airport in Kailashahar. Though the central government has asked for fund but I have said that government can’t provide such huge amount of fund but can provide land”, he said.
Deb also said that in this current session of Rajya Sabha he has also given a letter to the NHDICL on speedy repair on Kumarghat-Kailashahar road and also requested for special care.
“During this session in Rajya Sabha I have also raised issues about queen pineapple as I always wanted a discussion on products produce in Tripura so that they will get exposure and for promotions as well”, he said.
He also said that the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY), a flagship program designed to foster self-reliant entrepreneurs among the youth, has injected new life into India’s micro-credit landscape during its eight years of operation.
