Agartala: August 11. On the celebration of Raksha Bandhan, the Tripura government has announced host of decisions for the welfare of the woman in the state.While participating in a Raksha Bandhan ceremony by Prajapita Brahmakumaris, at Tripura CM’s official residence in Agartala, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said hosts of decisions were taken for the women including free education in all the government general degree colleges.
“On the celebration of Raksha Bandhan, our government has taken some decisions for the benefits of women as well as for girl students in the state. Hosts of the decision were taken for my sisters in the state. For the safety of women we have taken many steps apart from these out government has decided to install more than 400 CCTV cameras across the state, especially in Agartala city along with 12 automatic number plate recognition cameras would be installed”, the Chief Minister said.
He further informed that around Rs 20 crores would be spent for installing the cameras.CM Saha said that in first phase 150 CCTV would be installed and then step by step it will be installed all over the state.Apart from this the CM has also launched a toll free contact number ‘1091’ for the woman.“To ensure safety of women in the state the state government has launched a security helpline number ‘1091’ so that any woman can contact in this number for any problem and solution will be done immediately”, the CM informed.He also informed that in the state all the government general degree colleges will provide free education to all girl students.
