Ranbir Firing Case in Bishalgarh: Three Pistols Recovered, One More Arrested

Date:

Agartala, 1st May 2026 :  Police have achieved a major breakthrough in the widely discussed firing incident in Bishalgarh. Along with recovering three sophisticated pistols used in the crime, police have arrested another आरोपी. Meanwhile, the court has granted a second round of three-day police remand for the main accused, Ranbir Debnath.

The Bishalgarh police have once again demonstrated their efficiency. Despite earlier delays, the investigation is now progressing rapidly. Individuals like Ranbir and Mon, who allegedly evaded justice for years despite repeated criminal activities, have now been arrested—earning praise for the police team led by Officer-in-Charge Bijoy Das and Investigating Officer Mithun Das.

According to police sources, acting on a tip-off, Parimal Das was arrested on Thursday night for his involvement in the firing incident at contractor Chandan Debnath’s residence in Office Tilla. Based on his interrogation, police conducted a late-night raid in a rubber plantation in Morabari and recovered multiple modern pistols and cartridges from an abandoned location. Police claim these weapons were used in the crime.

So far, a total of seven people, including Mon and Ranbir, have been arrested. When Ranbir was produced before the court again, the judge granted an additional three-day police custody.

Notably, Ranbir’s defense had attempted to secure bail by claiming mental instability. However, a government hospital report declared him mentally fit. Based on this, the court rejected his bail plea and granted police remand.

The consistent success of the police has begun restoring public confidence in Bishalgarh. Locals have appreciated the administration’s strict action against anti-social elements. Police stated that Parimal Das will be produced in court on Friday, and the search for other accused is ongoing.
