Agartala, June 16, 2023: The fish traders of Santirbazar have created a buzz by bringing a rare species of fish from Dumbur Lake on Friday. The fish, known as ‘Baghaiya’ fish, has captured the curiosity of the locals.
Weighing 35 kg, the fish was purchased by the traders for Rs 20,700 and is now being sold at Rs 1200 per kg. The news of the arrival of this large-sized fish spread quickly, drawing a crowd of people to the fish market.
Excited visitors are busy capturing photos of the remarkable specimen with their mobile phones. The residents of Santirbazar market have never encountered such a fish before, fueling their curiosity and making it a sight to behold.
