Agartala, 29th December 2023: In a momentous ceremony held at the Sachin Debbarman Memorial Art Centre in Sepahijala District, the agricultural prowess of Tripura’s farmers took center stage. Agriculture Minister Ratanlal Nath, addressing the gathering, praised the farmers of the state for their exemplary leadership in agricultural production.
The occasion marked the honouring of 120 farmers as ‘Kriti’ farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana. Minister Nath underscored the pivotal role played by these farmers in propelling Tripura to the forefront of agricultural productivity.
“As of today, a staggering 79,846 farmers registered in the food self-sufficient Sipahijala district are setting the benchmark for agricultural excellence, leading the entire state,” proclaimed Minister Nath.
Highlighting the commitment to further boost agricultural infrastructure, the ceremony witnessed the distribution of 66 pump sets among farmers at subsidized prices, a move aimed at bolstering their capabilities.
Expressing optimism for the future, Minister Nath voiced his hope that the agricultural progress witnessed in Sepahijala district would serve as a beacon, illuminating the path for the entire nation. He envisioned the district not only as a state leader but as a torchbearer for agricultural success beyond the state borders.
As the torch flame of progress spreads, the farmers of Tripura are not only cultivating crops but also sowing the seeds of inspiration for the entire country.
