Agartala , 26th May 2026: Tripura Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath today met Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in the national capital to discuss key issues related to agricultural development and farmers’ welfare.
During the meeting, Nath conveyed greetings and felicitations on behalf of the people of Tripura and presented a traditional Risha as a mark of respect, cultural pride, and goodwill.He described the meeting as a privilege, stating that both leaders exchanged views on strengthening the agriculture sector and improving welfare measures for farmers, particularly in northeastern states like Tripura.
The discussions are expected to further enhance coordination between the state and the Centre on agricultural initiatives and rural development programs aimed at supporting farmers’ livelihoods.
Ratan Lal Nath also highlighted the importance of continued collaboration for implementing farmer-centric policies and promoting sustainable agricultural growth in the state.
