Record success of COF–CAU graduates in TPSC recruitment; 41 selected as Fisheries officers

Agartala, 7th  February 2026 :   The College of Fisheries (COF), Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, has achieved a historic milestone with the selection of 41 of its graduates as Fisheries Officers under the Department of Fisheries, Government of Tripura, as per the final results recently declared by the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC).

This unprecedented success stands as a matter of great pride for the College and the University and is expected to inspire and motivate the student community and the entire academic fraternity of CAU (Imphal).

On this occasion, Dr. Anupam Mishra, Vice-Chancellor, CAU, Imphal, and Prof. A. B. Patel, Dean, College of Fisheries, expressed immense pleasure and extended their hearty congratulations to the successful candidates for bringing laurels to the University and the College.

Prof. Patel emphasized that this achievement reflects the rigorous academic curriculum, continuous mentoring, and outcome-oriented teaching–learning practices followed at the College. He further highlighted the sustained institutional efforts in preparing students for competitive examinations and professional careers in the fisheries sector. The success has been realized under the visionary guidance and constant support of the Vice-Chancellor, whose emphasis on academic excellence, student empowerment, and institutional strengthening has played a pivotal role in enhancing the employability of CAU graduates. The Vice-Chancellor has consistently encouraged faculty members and students to pursue excellence in academics and public service.

The College places on record its sincere appreciation for the dedicated efforts of the faculty members, staff, and the entire support team for maintaining an enabling and excellent academic ambience.

While congratulating the selected graduates, the College also conveys its best wishes for their future roles in addressing fisheries sector challenges and contributing towards self-sufficiency in fish production in the State with dignity, integrity, and professional commitment.
