Rescue of rare animal species at Chowmuhani Para, South Charilam

Agartala, 31st August 2024:   In a remarkable incident this morning, a local resident discovered a rare animal species lying in front of a shop on the roadside. The unusual find quickly drew a curious crowd, as no one in the area had ever seen such an animal before.

The animal, described by locals as having wings, sparked significant interest and speculation. The forest department was promptly notified, and officials arrived at the scene to take custody of the rare creature.

Upon further investigation, it was identified as a Sugar Glider, a species not commonly found in the region. The forest department is now taking steps to ensure the animal’s safety and well-being.
