Agartala, 1st April 2026:   Residents within the Killa-Bagma constituency represented by the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) Purna Chandra Jamatia are voicing severe discontent over a persistent lack of basic infrastructure.

It is reported that villagers highlighted a critical absence of mobile connectivity, noting that a lack of network towers has isolated the community from modern communication. This digital divide has reached a point where locals humorously yet pointedly remark that the youth are unable to even pursue romantic relationships without stable internet access.

Beyond connectivity, the region faces a dire water crisis, forcing residents to trek long distances to valleys to fetch water manually. The combination of poor road conditions and zero signal strength has further created a hazardous environment for healthcare, as emergencies often go unattended due to an inability to call for medical assistance.

Expressing total disillusionment with the current administration’s years of perceived inaction, many locals are now advocating for a political shift. Supporters are increasingly looking toward BJP candidate Amar Kumar Jamatia, pinning their hopes on a change in leadership to finally deliver essential development to the neglected region.
