Agartala, 4th June 2025:  Frustrated by years of neglect, residents of Naljala Muslim Para took to the streets this afternoon, demanding urgent repairs to the deteriorating road in their locality. The protest centered around Ward No. 7 of Naljala West Para under Bishramganj Police Station saw a large turnout of local villagers calling for immediate action.

The road has reportedly been in poor condition for several years, causing frequent injuries to travelers and posing serious risks to daily commuters. Despite repeated appeals to officials spanning different political administrations, residents claim they have only received assurances, but no concrete action has been taken.

Upon receiving news of the protest, Charilam Tipra Motha Block President Buddha Debbarma and other officials promptly arrived at the scene. Addressing the concerns of the locals, Debbarma assured that discussions with senior officials would be initiated to expedite the necessary repairs and ensure safer movement for the community.

Residents emphasized the urgency of the matter, highlighting the hardship they face due to the road’s poor condition. They expressed hope that their demonstration would finally lead to the long-overdue improvements they have been promised for years.
