Agartala, 19th May 2026: A review meeting on the developmental activities of Bru re settlement camps at Gachhirampara, Bhandarima, and Ashapara was convened today at the Conference Hall of the Sub Divisional Magistrate’s Office, Kanchanpur. The meeting was organized under the initiative of the Kanchanpur Sub Divisional Administration and was chaired by Sub Divisional Magistrate Ashish Biswas.
Key issues concerning the implementation of government welfare schemes and essential services for rehabilitated Bru families were discussed. These included Aadhaar enrollment, issuance of ST & PRTC certificates, ration cards, access to Ayushman Bharat, provision of drinking water, electricity, healthcare, education.
