Road accident at Lembutuli leaves three seriously injured

Agartala, 22nd December 2024:   A serious road accident took place on Sunday in the Lembutuli area under Bishalgarh police station, involving a Maruti Alto and a tripper car. The collision left two youths and a woman seriously injured.

It is reported, a mud-loaded tripper vehicle bearing registration number TR01Y-1786 was traveling from Madhupur towards Lembutuli on Sunday afternoon when a Maruti Alto bearing registration number TR01AK0284, coming from the opposite direction at high speed, collided with the tripper. The loud noise of the crash attracted local residents, who rushed to the scene and rescued the three injured occupants of the Maruti Alto, taking them to the Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital.

The fire brigade was also informed and arrived at the site to rescue one injured person from the tripper car, transporting them to Bishalgarh Hospital. The injured have been identified as Ramen Debbarma, Bishwalakshi Debbarma and Bidhuram Debbarma. The condition of Ramen Debbarma and Bishwalakshi Debbarma is reported to be critical, and they have been shifted to GB Hospital from Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital.

Witnesses at the scene alleged that the driver and two others in the Maruti Alto were in an intoxicated state at the time of the accident. The Bishalgarh police were promptly informed by the locals and have registered a case following their inspection of the accident site.
