BY TC News Desk

Agartala,  19th December 2025:    Sabroom–Agartala National Highway No. 8 witnessed a major disruption on Friday as local residents staged a blockade protesting the decision to shift the Jalefa poultry hatchery to another location.

The protest, which lasted for nearly two hours, brought traffic to a standstill on both sides of the highway. Long queues of vehicles formed, leaving school students and office-goers stranded during peak hours. Passengers faced severe inconvenience as buses, cars, and trucks remained stuck for hours.

Upon receiving information, administrative officials rushed to the spot to bring the situation under control. After discussions with the demonstrators, authorities assured them that the issue would be resolved swiftly. Following this assurance, the blockade was lifted and traffic movement resumed.
