Agartala, March 20: An acute crisis of blood is noticed across the state while the state cabinet ministers and MLAs have come forward themselves to solve this problem.
For several months, everyone was busy with election work so blood donation camps were not held which resulted in shortage of blood in various blood banks of the state. Blood do not see the busyness of people during elections.
This time, Rotary Club International and Rotaract Club have come forward to donate blood. A blood donation camp was held on the initiative of these two clubs on Monday.
A total of 20 units of blood are donated in this great event. It should be noted that Dharmanagar needs an average of 12 units to 15 units of blood every day.
Rotary Club President Subir Shome, Literacy Department Chairman Prasenjit Chatterjee, DRR Sudip Das, Rotaract Secretary Dipujjwal Das were present in this blood donation camp on Monday.
