Rotary Club of Agartala City distributes 15 battery-operated wheelchairs at Agartala Press Club

Agartala, 28th July 2024:   In a heartening initiative by the Rotary Club of Agartala City, 15 high-quality battery-operated wheelchairs were distributed during a program at the Agartala Press Club. The event was graced by Minister Santana Chakma, Assistant Governor of Rotary Division-16 Dr. Achintya Bhattacharya, current president of the Agartala City Rotary Club Nihar Ranjan Das and secretary Asish Sen among others.

Speaking at the event, Minister Chakma emphasized the importance of collective effort in advancing the state of Tripura. “The government’s aim is to take Tripura forward, and we need everyone’s cooperation to achieve this. With hard work and dedication, success in any endeavor is possible,” she stated.

The distribution of wheelchairs reflects the Rotary Club’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility. The entrepreneurs involved affirmed that such initiatives will continue, highlighting the significance of organizing events that contribute to societal well-being.

“Such arrangements are very significant,” noted a representative of the Rotary Club, reinforcing their dedication to hosting various socially responsible events throughout the year.
