Agartala, 23rd January 2025: The Tripura Sundari Express traveling from Ferozepur to Agartala arrived at Dharmanagar railway station around 9:30 pm. During a search of coach number GS 247206, the RPF recovered 557 bottles of intoxicating cough syrup from six bags. Sub-Inspector Bishnupada Das stated, “The special train sweep is ongoing on the orders of the DSP sir.”
Head Constable Liton Nama and Constable Sanjib Das conducted the search on the Tripura Sundari Express train from Badarpur. Upon reaching Dharmanagar, they recovered the contraband. “After completing all legal procedures, the intoxicating cough syrups will be handed over to the Excise Department,” added Sub-Inspector Das.
