Agartala, 29th July 2025:  Concerns over security protocols at GBP Hospital have resurfaced following another reported theft incident on the premises. This morning, a woman identified as Priyanka Das, a resident of the Ampi area, allegedly lost Rs 14,000 while seeking medical care at the facility.

According to sources, Das had arrived at the hospital early in the day and spent some time near the ticket counter before proceeding to the doctor’s chamber. It was only then that she noticed a small pouch containing cash, previously stored inside her handbag had gone missing.

Despite extensive efforts to locate the stolen pouch, it could not be recovered. Expressing frustration over the incident, Das criticized the hospital’s lack of security, especially in such a high-traffic institution. She has since lodged a formal complaint with the local police.
