‘Sampark Se Samarthan’: Ratan Lal Nath meets Naresh Chandra Debbarma

Agartala, June 20, 2023 – Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath visited the residence of Naresh Chandra Debbarma, a highly esteemed figure in the realm of Kokborok literature, as part of the ‘Sampark Se Samarthan’ initiative.

Taking to social media, Minister Nath expressed admiration for Naresh Chandra Debbarma, describing him as a shining star in the field of Kokborok literature. Nath also highlighted Debbarma’s significant contributions to the state assembly, where his knowledge has illuminated proceedings. Despite retiring from his career in 2002, Debbarma has continued to make valuable contributions as an author, penning around 30 books. His literary achievements have earned him eleven awards at both governmental and private levels, including the esteemed Atal Bihari Vajpayee Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022.

During the visit, Nath exchanged knowledge and sought blessings from Debbarma. Additionally, as the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi completed 9 years in power, Minister Nath presented the initiatives undertaken as part of the ‘Sampark Se Samarthan’ campaign. Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and efforts were praised by Debbarma, who acknowledged the government’s unwavering support and commitment to development.

The visit not only showcased the government’s commitment to connecting with individuals who have made significant contributions to various fields but also highlighted the achievements and initiatives undertaken during the tenure of the Prime Minister-led government.
