Agartala, 13th September 2025: In a ceremony organized by the Tripura Science Society, the prestigious Sanjay Banerjee Memorial Award was presented at the Agartala Press Club, celebrating young scientific minds and academic excellence.
The event was graced by educationist Mihir Deb, MBBS University Registrar Sumanta Chakraborty and representatives from the Science Society such as Dr. Pranatosh Roy, Pramod Lal Ghosh and Alpana Sengupta. Their presence highlighted the significance of the occasion in promoting scientific inquiry and academic achievement among students.
Awards were conferred upon students who participated in the National Children’s Science Congress and successfully passed their secondary and higher secondary examinations in 2024 and 2025. The initiative aimed to recognize and encourage budding scientists in the region.
Tripura Science Society Secretary Panna Chakraborty delivered the welcome address, highlighting the organization’s commitment to nurturing scientific temperament and honoring the legacy of Sanjay Banerjee.
