Santana Chakma inaugurates BMS portal at Secretariat

Agartala, May 10, 2023: The state has taken another step forward in the field of Digital India because if the states are not digital then it is impossible to make ‘Digital India’. So now poor people from OBC section can now apply online to get government help for treatment after Scheduled Caste Welfare department in ‘Nucleus’ budget scheme.

OBC Welfare minister Santana Chakma launched the online system BMS portal on Wednesday. It was inaugurated by BC Welfare department minister Santana Chakma at Secretariat’s Conference Hall on this day. Other officials of the department were also present.

Inaugurating the online application portal, the minister said that only those whose annual income is below Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand will get this opportunity. But an OBC category person can apply only once to anyone. For so long, people had to apply for this financial benefit by coming to government offices offline. Now one can apply at home. Minister Santana Chakma said that there will be no problem in this regard.
