Agartala, 18th February 2026:    SC Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das expressed hope that justice will prevail in Bangladesh and that the long-standing inhuman treatment, atrocities, and violence against Hindus will come to an end under the new government.

On Tuesday, Tarique Rahman assumed office as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh. Addressing the public via Facebook, Minister Das said he was optimistic that, under Prime Minister Rahman’s leadership, a truly democratic government would take shape in the country, ensuring justice for all citizens and putting a stop to the persecution of Hindus.

“I congratulate Tarique Rahman on taking oath as the Prime Minister and leading the BNP political party. I am hopeful that his leadership will usher in a government that guarantees justice for everyone. I sincerely hope that the inhuman torture, atrocities, and killings of Hindus residing in Bangladesh will end,” the Minister said.

He also appealed to the newly elected Prime Minister to ensure the immediate release of Chinmaykrishna Das Prabhu, who is reportedly imprisoned under a false case.
