Agartala, 18th January 2026: A case has been filed at Amtali police station after a scooter belonging to Sukanta Pal was stolen from the premises of Hapania fairground. Acting on the complaint, Amtali police launched an investigation.
Police sources informed that a raid was conducted in the Ashwini Market area under Amtali jurisdiction. During the operation, officers recovered the stolen scooter from the residence of local resident Komal Deb. In addition, another motorcycle was also seized from the same house.
Komal Deb was taken into custody and brought to Amtali police station. He was later formally arrested and produced before the court, which remanded him to police custody for further interrogation.
Police officials stated that investigations are underway to determine whether the recovered vehicles are linked to other theft cases.
