Agartala, 23rd May 2025: In preparation for the upcoming state conference, a crucial meeting was held at a private auditorium in Bishalgarh today, where the Sepahijala District Committee and the Sonamura and Bishalgarh Sub-division Committees of the Tripura Journalists Union (TJU) were officially formed.
The meeting was attended by journalists and several key decisions were made to strengthen the organization and uphold the professional interests of its members. Discussions were also held regarding arrangements for the state conference scheduled for May 31 in Agartala.
The 4th Sepahijala District Conference was attended by Tripura Journalists Union state committee secretary Santosh Gope along with state committee members Abhishek Saha, Mehboob Alam and Udayan Chowdhury. Following the conference, leadership roles were assigned, with Tajul Islam elected as the district committee president and Tuton Chowdhury as the secretary. In the Sonamura Sub-Divisional Committee, Amit Datta was chosen as president and Eliyaz Hossain as secretary, while in the Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Committee Mannan Haque assumed the role of president and Gautam Ghosh was elected as secretary.
The newly appointed leadership has urged all members to actively participate in the state conference in Agartala, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in advancing journalism and professional unity.
